Research Laboratories in Joinville

  1. Research Group in Embedded Systems: the group of research in embedded systems is formed by two research laboratories, the Embedded Systems Laboratory (LSE) and the Software / Hardware Integration Laboratory (LISHA / Joinville). Both share a room approximately 50 m2, air-conditioned, equipped with two workbenches. Among the equipment are oscilloscopes, function generators, sources, data acquisition systems, computers and soldering station for SMT components. Support materials include ARM development kits (from various manufacturers), other 8- and 16-bit architectures, logical-programmable device development (CPLD, FPGAs and SoC) kits, quad-cylinder assemblies, sensors and various actuators, and Wireless communication modules. Currently, most of the research projects described in this proposal are being developed partially or totally in the LSE or LISHA / Joinville, with the participation of approximately 20 undergraduate and graduate students. This laboratory is located in Building E of UFSC in Joinville. It should be noted that LISHA is the first multi-camp UFSC research laboratory, with two official headquarters, one in Florianópolis and another in Joinville. The exchange of information and research and development projects between the two venues is constant and beneficial to all researchers and students in the laboratory. The LISHA / Joinville is coordinated by Prof. Dr. Giovani Gracioli and LISHA / Florianópolis is coordinated by Prof. Dr. Antônio Augusto Fröhlich.
  2. Product and Process Development Laboratory: 70 m2 room, air-conditioned, with fast prototyping machine in 3D by the FDM system and 05 computers. This lab is located in Building B.
  3. Laboratory of Informatics and Scientific Computation: room of 60 m2, air-conditioned with 8 computers containing the following software: Mathematica, Matlab / Simulink and Origin. This laboratory is located in Building E.
  4. Polymer and Composite Laboratory: 60 m2 room, air-conditioned, equipped with laminar flow camera, orbital shaker, analytical scale, stove, benches, spectrophotometer, centrifuge and autoclave. This lab is located in Building B.
  5. Laboratory of Practical Activities in Science and Technology: room of 30 m2, air-conditioned, equipped with oscilloscope, function generator, power supplies and computers. In this laboratory are being developed prototypes of a wind tunnel with didactic purposes, a demonstrator of magnetic brake operation and also an electric bicycle. This lab is located in Building B.
